I'm Charlie,
nice to meet you.
Hello!

I'm Janiessa Charlie-Nicole Norice, I prefer Charlie. I am a current UX Designer studying at Georgia Tech Institute of Technology with a background in Journalism and Mass Communications.

My name means "Warrior of the people" it was derived from my late grandfather (cancer sucks) and has since proven to define a piece of who I am.
My passion for words goes for creative and informative fields. I'm not afraid to explore new heights and push the limits to my creativity.

User Experience has allowed me to expand on my skills set based in Journalism and I believe they make me a more effective researcher and designer.

How I got started in user research
I have the natural ability to problem solve, but my official start in User Research began in undergrad while studying Mass Communications and Media Studies. It was at that time that I learned the foundational skills of research and how to give effective interviews. Since graduation I have enrolled in Georgia Institute of Technology UX/UI Bootcamp with a graduation date of November 2019.
What I've been working on
Currently expanding my skills in the following areas:
-
Information Architecture
-
Typography
-
Heuristics
-
Usability Iterations
-
HTML/CSS
-
So much more!
What I'm curious about
I'm curious about things that seem useful but don't easily define the purpose.
